It was a fun Sunday for children from Breakthru Enrichment Station to display their artistic abilities at the 6th Rainbow in My Heart Art Competition 2017 organised by the Rotary Club Bandar Utama for children and adults with special needs in Petaling Jaya.
Artists in Category B ( above 16 years ) in deep concentration.
The children were in high spirits as they chose their seats and tables to park their belongings. They had the opportunity to meet children from other organisations and schools. The art competition was divided into two categories; A for participants 15 years and below while category B is 16 years and above. Brayden Loo, Ng Wai Chun, Lucas Lai together with Jayden Phiroon Loh and Loo Min Sin from Little Sun Kiddyland were in Category A while Eddison Leong and Nicholas Mathew were in Group B.
The theme of the competition was “Making a Difference”. Rotary Club Bandar Utama believes that the arts can help people with special needs expand their potential as well as to serve as a channel to express themselves.
While waiting for the judges to decide on the winners, everyone was treated to performances by students from Breakthru Enrichment Station and Little Sun Kiddyland.
It was a good outing for Brayden and Wai Chun as they both won consolation prizes under Group A.
This year’s prizes were sponsored by the Hai O foundation. All participants went home happy with a goodie bag and certificates of participation.
Breakthru Enrichment Station set up a booth at the lobby area. Visitors and parents listened intently to overall Breakthru Approach and techniques at Breakthru Enrichment Station.
